Anue Systems Ships 8x Fibre Channel Network Emulator
Austin, TX – February 28, 2007 – Anue Systems, the performance
leader in network delay, has announced general availability of the world's
first 8x Fibre Channel Network Emulator.
"As servers increase processing power and bus speeds in response
to increased bandwidth demands, a faster infrastructure is required,"
said Chip Webb, CTO of Anue Systems and architect of the new solution.
"The backward compatibility of the 8x FC standard is attractive because
it allows network planners to increase bandwidth without a costly forklift
upgrade."
Anue Systems network emulators are used in network test labs to simulate
the effects of real world network environments. Supported protocols include
IP, Ethernet, Fibre Channel, SONET/SDH, OTN, and CPRI. Anue Systems network
emulators introduce network delays, errors and other network impairments
during network testing and system validation, providing confidence that
customers' systems and network applications will operate effectively when
deployed.
The Anue Systems 8.5 gigabit FC solution, which can simulate up to 250
ms (50,000 km) of network delay in a test lab, incorporates commercial
XFP modules. Network equipment manufacturers will use the 8x FC network
emulator to validate the functionality and performance of Fibre Channel
devices and network applications. Service providers will use the new solution
during planning, design and network testing to assure service reliability
and reduce support costs.
