Anue Systems Releases GEM 3.0 Network Emulator
Enhanced Capabilities for Enterprise Applications Performance Testing.
Anaheim, Calif., July 24, 2007— Anue Systems, Inc. is now shipping
GEM 3.0, the third generation of high performance Ethernet Network Emulators.
Network Emulators are used in test labs to replicate real world network
delays, bandwidth constraints, errors and impairments. This was announced
at Networkers at Cisco Live conference held in Anaheim, Calif. on July
23 through July 26.
GEM 3.0 was designed specifically for Enterprise companies to plan, evaluate
and verify the performance of WAN applications and infrastructure. Key
features in GEM 3.0 include:
Integration with leading load generation tools – provides the ability
to share data with leading 3rd party products that emulate the application
loads from numerous network users.
Drag-and-Drop Network Configurator – enables users to easily define
the network topology, devices and traffic flows from the GUI.
Live Network Profiler – replicates live network conditions by capturing
impairment characteristics of the live network, and loading these into
the Network Emulator configuration.
Router Mode -- enables automated variation of network topology, traffic
flow or impairment profiles to simulate up to 16 virtual router ports
per physical port.
Automated Report Generation -- supports planning and assessment of SLA
compliance, as well as Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA and FISMA reporting requirements.
"GEM 3.0 dramatically increases the effectiveness of Enterprise applications
testing, particularly for companies validating mission-critical WAN solutions,
including WAN Acceleration, data replication, server migration, data center
consolidation, VoIP, remote video conferencing or IPTV," said George
Salemie, VP of Sales at Anue Systems. “The high level of automation
and ease-of-use enable customers to efficiently conduct rigorous, repeatable
and realistic tests of their applications performance and network infrastructure
– reducing risk and time-to-deployment."
Anue Systems Network Emulators replicate the delays, errors and other
impairments found on the Internet, corporate WANs and other communications
networks. Based on a patent-pending hardware platform, they deliver the
performance and precision necessary to authentically replicate the real-world
network environment. Anue Systems Network Emulators support a variety
of network protocols including Ethernet, IP, SONET/SDH and Fibre Channel.
