Anue Systems Delivers Network Playback Capability
Supports High Precision Circuit Emulation Testing at Full Line
Rate
AUSTIN, TX--(February 21, 2008) - Anue Systems, Inc., the global leader
in Network
Emulation, announces the availability of the advanced Network
Playback feature for the GEM Ethernet Network Emulator. Using Network
Playback customers can record and play back network scenarios from a complex
multi-node network -- such as the Internet, mobile communications network,
or corporate WAN.
Anue's Network Playback enables pre-deployment testing of applications
or services under complex network conditions in order to detect any performance
issues attributable to network synchronization. The ability to authentically
replicate the real world network environment -- in a repeatable way --
is particularly critical for pre-deployment testing and validation of
carrier-grade Timing-Over-Packet and Circuit Emulation equipment and services.
Customers are able to significantly reduce downtime, user issues and support
costs.
"The Network Playback feature has allowed my team to test network
characteristics before deployment. What we saw when we tested with the
Anue system would have easily caused us to suffer downtime which leads
to losses. By conducting this kind of testing, we were able to avoid costly
downtime," said a recent Network Playback customer.
GEM 3.1's Network Playback capability is unique in the Test & Measurement
industry. Implemented on Anue Systems' patented GEM hardware platform,
Network Playback provides the utmost in testing precision and repeatability
-- at full line rates up to one Gbps.
"Network Playback enables network equipment manufacturers, carriers
and service providers to conduct authentic and repeatable lab testing,"
said Jason Nutt, VP of Product Management at Anue Systems. "For the
first time our customers can validate their timing over packet solutions
under real world conditions by importing the delay and impairment characteristics
from the live network to the GEM with packet level control and precision."
Anue Network Emulators are used in network test labs to recreate the effects
of real world network impairments. Uses include pre-deployment testing
of WAN acceleration solutions, voice & video applications, WAN Applications,
disaster recovery plans and server migration scenarios. Anue Systems Network
Emulators introduce network delays, bandwidth constraints, packet and
bit errors, and other network impairments during network application performance
testing and system validation -- enabling customers to ensure their applications,
systems and services will perform as expected once deployed.
