Fibre Channel Network
Emulators

Anue's Fibre Channel Network Emulators provide distance simulation for
one, two, four and ten gigabit per second Fibre Channel signals.

In addition to delay, these products allow controlled error injection
for BER Testing and simulate frame dropping and loss of signal (LOS) conditions.
The FC Emulators can be controlled by the user either locally using the
front panel, or remotely via an Ethernet connection. The included software
package allows remote control using either a Graphical User Interface,
or through TCL scripts, which allow for easy automation of common tasks.
Anue's Fibre Channel Distance Simulation products can test the delay and
impairments experienced by Fibre Channel traffic as it travels over long
distances of optical fiber. Network Emulators are ideal for testing remote
data storage, backup and recovery solutions in a lab environment.
A functional Anue System for distance simulation consists of a hardware
platform and one or more software loads. Fibre Channel Network Emulators
exist on both Anue's "H" Series and "M" Series Platforms.
The "H" Series delays and impairs up to 11.3 Gbps traffic; the
"M" Series handles one and two Gbps data rates. There are three
different Fibre Channel software loads available: FC, FC124 and FC10.
"M" Series Distance Simulation Hardware Platform
* Handles one and two Gbps at full line rate
* 2U Rackmount Chassis
* Includes SFP optics module(s) with LC connectors
* Up to 750 ms delay in each direction (at two Gbps data rates with "delay
tripler")
* Holds up to seven Software Loads
"H" Series Distance Simulation Hardware Platform
* Up to 10 Gbps
* Includes SFP (and XFP for 10 Gbps) Optical Transceivers
* 2U Rackmount Chassis
* Up to 800 ms delay in each direction (at 10 Gbps data rates with "delay
doubler")
* Holds up to seven Software Loadss

- Fibre Channel distance simulation and BER testing capabilities can also
be combined with other Network Emulator capabilities on the same system.
These "Combo" Network Emulators make it easy to switch back
and forth between different features, data rates and protocols.
