SONET/SDH/G.709 WAN Simulator
Anue's "DG" Network Emulators simulate signal delays that occur
during the transmission of SONET/SDH and G.709 signals. They also allow
errors to be injected for controlled BER testing and LOF injection for
protection switch SONET/SDH testing. The DG WAN Simulator can be controlled
by the user either locally using the front panel, or remotely via an Ethernet
connection. The included software package allows remote control using
either a Graphical User Interface, or through TCL scripts, which allow
for easy automation of common tasks.
A functional Anue WAN Simulator consists of a hardware platform and one
or more software loads. Two different hardware platforms, the "M"
Series and the "H" Series are available. There are three different
SONET/SDH DG Signal Delay software loads, DG312, DG48 and DG192, and two
G.709 Signal Delay software loads, OTU1 and OTU2.
"M" Series WAN Simulator Hardware Platform
* Up to 2.5 Gbps
* 2U Rackmount Chassis
* Includes SFP optics module(s) with LC connectors
* Up to 750 ms delay in each direction (at OC48/STM16 data rates with
"delay tripler")
* Holds up to seven Software Loads
"H" Series WAN Simulator Hardware Platform
* Up to 11.3 Gbps
* Includes XFP and SFP Optical Transceivers
* 2U Rackmount Chassis
* Up to 800 ms delay in each direction (at OC192/STM64 data rates with
"delay doubler")
* Holds up to seven Software Loads

"DG" - SONET/SDH and “OUT”
G.709 Software Loads can be combined on the same System. These functions
can even be combined with other WAN Simulator capabilities, such as Ethernet,
Fibre Channel and SONET Path Delay. Such "Combo" Network Simulators
make it easy to switch back and forth between different features, data
rates and protocols.
