Video & Voice Triple Play H.323

Live digital video and voice data transmission are some of the most time sensitive applications on today’s networks. Delays and time-based impairments, such as packet reordering, can be very detrimental. Video and voice traffic also require high bandwidth. These two factors, time sensitivity and high bandwidth, make testing video and voice solutions challenging, and well suited for Anue Network Emulators.

APPLICATIONS

Video over IP (VIP)
Voice over IP (VOIP)
Triple Play H.323 (Video, Voice and Data)
Video Conferencing

Anue Emulators can insert delay of up to 1 second at Gigabit Ethernet data rates (with the optional delay doubler). This corresponds to 200,000 km (124,000 miles), more than enough simulate the transmission time across any WAN, even with routers, switches and various network elements in mix. Moreover, Anue’s multi-protocol capabilities enable you to simulate Ethernet/IP and/or SONET/SDH core network.

“Anue Network Emulators function at 100% line rate, and support packets up to 16K bytes.”

Network Emulators from Anue can also create errors on the line, including bit errors, packet drops and loss of signal. Anue’s GEL2 Gigabit Ethernet Layer 2+ Network Emulator can also reorder, duplicate, modify and/or corrupt Ethernet frames on a random or user-determined basis. This allows you to test the real world effects of layer one and two impairments on higher layer video and voice applications.

With Anue Network Emulators, you can emulate real world scenarios in the lab - accurately, repeatedly and efficiently – in order to:

* Evaluate the performance of emerging technologies such as Video on Demand (VOD).
* Assess the sensitivity to traditional QoS parameters such as bandwidth, packet loss, delay, and jitter of voice, video and data applications.
* Determine how resource sharing can lead to degradation of signals due to network congestion.
* Find problems early, before deployment, to improve the quality of your products and services.
* Shrink time to market of new “triple play” services to move into lucrative entertainment markets.
