Fibre Channel
Advantage Product Family
The Advantage product family defines a new direction for test equipment
by providing automated analysis of Fibre Channel test traces.
Specifically targeted at the Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA)
SANmark Qualification Program, Advantage eliminates the need to manually
review test traces, dramatically reducing the time required to determine
whether or not a device has passed a test suite.
Advantage reduces the testing process to merely connecting the device
to the system and selecting the appropriate test. Advantage does the rest
by running the test, evaluating the device's response to the test, providing
a pass/fail status, saving the trace to a user-defined location, and providing
specific pointers in the trace if the device under test fails.
If a device fails a test, the Advantage software indicates the exact location
of the failure with a time stamp indicating the event location in the
trace where the failure occurred along with a description of why the test
failed. The patented hardware search feature makes it possible to quickly
search for the time stamp and go to the precise location of the failure
in the trace for troubleshooting.
The Total Advantage
Total Advantage is a complete system for SANmark 2000 and 3000 series
testing. Total Advantage includes all of the hardware and software needed
to accommodate the port requirements of the 2001, 2003, 3001, 3002, 3010,
and 3020 SANmark test suites.
The Advantage Plus
Advantage Plus is a complete system for SANmark 2000 series testing.
Advantage Automation Test Suites Modules
Automation 2000 Test Suites Module
The Automation 2000 Test Suites software module contains FCIA-recognized
test suites for the 2001 and 2003 FCIA SCD documents.
Automation 3000 Test Suites Module
The Automation 3000 Test Suites software module contains FCIA-recognized
test suites for the 3001, 3002, 3010, and 3020 FCIA SCD documents.
