IFC-4 Fibre
Channel Tester

The IFC-4 Fibre Channel Tester is ideal for low-level support of product
development, interoperability testing, test suite development, and performing
SANmark qualification.
It has become the industry standard for testing Fibre Channel drives,
switches, and other Fibre Channel devices within device manufacturing,
development, quality assurance, and regression test environments.
The IFC-4 includes the EAGLE Universal Test Architecture, consisting of
an intuitive interactive menu as well as a software development kit (application
programming interface) and compiled test suite for performing tests.
The IFC-4's power is in the EAGLE software development kit, supported
by a library containing more than 400 functions for developing tests.
No other tester in the industry has the development capability of the
IFC-4.
The IFC-4 consists of a midlength PCI circuit board, which can be easily
installed in a standard PC or purchased preinstalled in the PassPort.
The PassPort provides portability for mobile test requirements in the
lab or field and the capability of adding two channels of analysis for
data generation and analysis in a single enclosure. It allows access to
the tester from anywhere on your network through connection to the 10/100
Base-T Ethernet port.
Three flexible configurations to meet your needs
* IFC-4d Development System consists of the Compiled Test Environment
and the EAGLE interactive menu for supporting automated testing. It is
the most fully configured, comprehensive solution for engineers involved
in product development, interoperability, and SANmark qualification applications.
* IFC-4i Interactive System is ideal for debugging and regression testing.
Like the IFC-4d, it includes the EAGLE interactive menu and a suite of
prebuilt compiled tests. Field and test engineers who do not need the
capability of customized test development will appreciate the flexibility
of an intuitive software interface and a compiled test library.
* IFC-4m Manufacturing System has the same hardware capability as the
IFC-4d and IFC-4i without a software interface. Compiled tests developed
on the IFC-4d can be executed on the IFC-4m. This system is ideal for
manufacturing test-bed applications and as a supplemental test tool to
the IFC-4d.
EAGLE development, interactive, or manufacturing system capability can
be added to SAN Commander ports to extend their capability for performing
low-level testing as well as SANmark qualification.
