IFC-5 Fibre Channel Tester

ifc 5 fibre channel testerThe IFC-5 Fibre Channel Tester is capable of low-level testing at 1G, 2G, and 4G data transfer rates. It generates Fibre Channel traffic, sending frames via point-to-point, fabric, or arbitrated loop connections. The tester can be used in a variety of test applicaitons, including product development, manufacturing, quality assurance, and regression testing. The ability to create, modify, corrupt, and generate data and then evaluate the devices response makes the IFC-5 the most versatile tool in the industry.

The IFC-5 combines powerful hardware capabilities with an easy-to-use software interface. Through the EAGLE interactive menu, you can execute commands, compiled tests, and macros and create macros and edit buffers.

Advanced users have access to a powerful software development kit (SDK), which includes a suite of prebuilt compiled tests and an extensive function library for test development.

The IFC-5 consists of a full-length PCI circuit board, which can be easily installed in a standard PC or puchased preinstalled in the PassPort, a portable enclosure. The PassPort provides portability in the lab or field and access to the tester from anywhere on your network through connection to the 10/100 Base-T Ethernet® port.
Three configurations to meet your needs:

* IFC-5d Development System consists of the Compiled Test Environment and the EAGLE interactive menu for supporting automated testing. It is the most fully configured, comprehensive solution for engineers involved in product development, interoperability, and SANmark qualification applications.

* IFC-5i Interactive System is ideal for debugging and regression testing. Like the IFC-5d, it includes the EAGLE interactive menu and a suite of prebuilt compiled tests. Field and test engineers who do not need the capability of customized test development will appreciate the flexibility of an intuitive software interface and a compiled test library.

* IFC-5m Manufacturing System has the same hardware capability as the IFC-5d and IFC-5i without a software interface. Compiled tests developed on the IFC-5d can be executed on the IFC-5m. This system is ideal for manufacturing test-bed applications and as a supplemental test tool to the IFC-5d.
