IPC-6160 SCSI Tester

ipc 6160 scsi tester
Meeting the demands of Ultra3 SCSI

The IPC-6160 SCSI tester provides the ultimate solution for automated development, qualification, and manufacturing testing of Ultra3 SCSI drives and peripheral devices.
This powerful tester consists of a 32-bit PCI plug-in board that supports wide synchronous data transfers at speeds up to 160 MB/sec. It supports single-ended (SE) and low-voltage differential (LVD) SCSI buses for maximum flexibility.

A wealth of useful features
IPC-6160 software features include patented multi-threading support, Ultra2 and Ultra3 SCSI command queuing, command linking, powerful macro capabilities, and a SCSI function library offering more than 400 functions.

Hardware features include high-speed data compare, an onboard 32-bit processor, parity error injection, breaker-protected terminator power, onboard termination, and the ability to loop SCSI command execution.

The IPC-6160 supports the Ultra160M features subset of Ultra3 SCSI, which includes CRC testing, dual-transition clocking, asynchronous information protection (AIP), and domain validation.

Universal software tests SCSI and Fibre Channel
The IPC-6160 operates on the EAGLE™ Universal Test Architecture our easy-to-use, Windows®-based software that lets you conduct parallel SCSI and Fibre Channel tests from a single, interactive interface. EAGLE features a broad selection of prebuilt compiled tests to perform basic and advanced testing of target and initiator devices.

Three flexible configurations to meet your needs

The IPC-6160 is offered in three configurations:
* IPC-6160d Development System consists of a complete development system for creating customized tests. Also includes our Compiled Test suite and EAGLE menu for automated testing. Ideally suited for debug and regression testing.
* IPC-6160i Interactive System includes our Compiled Test suite and EAGLE menu for automated testing. Suitable for field testing and situations requiring quick, simple tests.
* IPC-6160m Manufacturing System includes the hardware interface only for executing tests on the production floor. Ideal for cost-efficient manufacturing testing.

Hardware features
* Auto sensor adapts to SE or LVD buses over 68-pin P-cable with onboard termination
* Onboard 32-bit processor and 32-MB data buffer
* On-the-fly data compare at up to 160 MB/sec
* Parity error injection
* Data pattern generator for pseudorandom and LBA-based data patterns
* Breaker-protected terminator power
* Available in a PassPort™ portable test chassis

Software features
* Prebuilt compiled tests perform basic and advanced testing of target and initiator devices
