EXAM DESCRIPTIONS

Xgig Certification Exam

This exam tests a candidate's knowledge of the fundamentals of using an Xgig analyzer. Topics include hardware setup, capturing traces, navigating Xgig software components, and extracting trace data for analysis. Xgig certification exams are delivered online worldwide by Thomson-Prometric: www.ibt.prometric.com/finisar.

SNIA Storage Network Foundations Exam

This exam tests a candidate's knowledge of general storage network concepts, with emphasis on interoperability for storage networking. Topics include basic storage and storage network technologies like disk, SCSI, Fibre Channel, IP Storage, Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), Virtualization, Data Management and Storage Management (including SMI-S). SNIA Storage Networking Certification Program (SNCP) exams are delivered through Thomson-Probmetric Testing Centers worldwide: www.2test.com.

SNIA Storage Networking Management/Administration Exam

Designed for storage managers and administrators responsible for daily management and administration of a SAN, this exam includes network administration, applied Fibre Channel protocol, performance, storage networking management, business continuance, backup and recovery, and Fibre Channel security. SNIA Storage Networking Certification Program (SNCP) exams are delivered through Thomson-Probmetric Testing Centers worldwide: www.2test.com.
